An extraordinary dance event is coming your way! The renowned Joffrey Ballet School will be in Oberhausen on May 2–3, 2025, scouting for talented dancers. The audition and masterclasses will take place at Luise-Albertz-Halle—a unique opportunity for those dreaming of an international dance career.
A Gateway to an International Career
Since its founding in 1953, the Joffrey Ballet School has established itself as one of the most prestigious training institutions for ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance worldwide. Its graduates perform in top dance companies, on major stages, and collaborate with leading choreographers.
Now, dancers in Germany have the chance to become part of this success story. By participating in the audition, dancers can qualify for the 2025/2026 Summer Intensive Programs in New York and other international locations and gain access to elite training programs with scholarship opportunities.
What to Expect
The audition is structured as a masterclass, led by distinguished faculty members from the Joffrey Ballet School. It is designed to challenge and inspire dancers while providing a professional training experience.
Over two days, dancers will take part in ballet, jazz, and contemporary classes, where their technique, artistry, and potential will be evaluated. Participants aged 10 to 13 will be considered for Joffrey’s Summer Intensives, while dancers 14 to 25 will also be assessed for the Trainee Program in New York City, which offers a high-level training pathway for aspiring professionals.
Each audition class includes technical exercises, repertoire, and performance evaluation. Faculty members will assess each dancer’s strengths, and selected participants may receive scholarship offers or direct acceptance into Joffrey’s international training programs.
