A Successful Start in Venlo

As we reach the halfway point of this year’s Dance Unit tour, we are excited to look back on an incredible milestone — our first qualifier in the Netherlands.

On March 8th, Dance Unit hosted its first qualifier in the Netherlands at the beautiful De Maaspoort Theater in Venlo and the event exceeded all expectations.

With over 300 dancers on stage, the event brought together an incredible mix of talent, energy, and creativity. Participants traveled not only from across the Netherlands, but also from Belgium and the United States, creating an inspiring international atmosphere from the very beginning.

The De Maaspoort Theater provided the perfect setting for this special event. Its impressive stage and professional theater environment allowed dancers to perform under real show conditions — making every performance even more powerful and unforgettable.

Across all categories, dancers delivered impressive performances full of creativity, expression, and individuality. It was especially exciting to see so many new movements, fresh ideas, and innovative approaches presented on stage. The diversity of styles and the continuous evolution within the dance community made this qualifier a truly inspiring experience.

A special highlight of the event was the awarding of a Prime Ticket for the Final Gala. This honor went to Creating Art Productions for their powerful piece “Earth” — a performance that impressed both the audience and the judges and truly captured the spirit of Dance Unit.

The first Dance Unit qualifier in the Netherlands was more than just a competition — it was a celebration of dance, community, and international connection.

We are incredibly proud of all dancers, coaches, and studios who were part of this event and made it such a success.
