Dance Unit Fashion 2026
17. Mai 2026The Dance Unit World Finals have never been only about trophies, rankings or perfect performances.
Dance is about expression, creativity, growth and connection. It is about learning from each other, discovering new perspectives and finding inspiration beyond the competition floor.
That idea has always been at the heart of GO-MASTERS, and Edition 6 once again brought it to life.
During Finals Week in Innsbruck, dancers from different countries, backgrounds and styles came together not only to compete, but to learn, connect and share their passion for dance. Some arrived looking for new challenges, others for inspiration, and many left with unforgettable memories, new friendships and experiences that will stay with them long after the event.

A Unique Workshop Experience
One of the highlights of GO-MASTERS Edition 6 was undoubtedly the workshop area in the Olympiaworld Innsbruck.
For the first time, dancers were able to train in a dedicated workshop space featuring its own stage and an incredible view of the surrounding mountains. Between competitions, rehearsals and performances, the area became a vibrant meeting point for dancers, teachers and choreographers from all over Europe.
From morning until evening, the space was filled with music, movement and excitement. Whether participating in a workshop or simply watching others train, dancers were able to experience an atmosphere that perfectly reflected the spirit of GO-MASTERS: open, inspiring and full of energy.
Learning From International Professionals
One of the biggest highlights of GO-MASTERS Edition 6 was the incredible variety of workshops and the opportunity to learn from artists, educators and choreographers from around the world.
Throughout the week, the workshop stage overlooking the mountains became a meeting point for dancers of all ages and styles. Between competition rounds, rehearsals and performances, dancers gathered to train, learn and share their passion for dance.
The programme opened with Christina Schulz, who guided younger dancers through expressive lyrical movement and storytelling. On Thursday, Jordan Epstein from the Jofrey Ballet School introduced young dancers to contemporary and jazz training, while Hope Maimane brought his unmistakable energy and creativity to the workshop stage.

As the week continued, dancers explored Musical Theatre with Jordan Epstein, Contemporary with Hope Maimane, Jazz and Jazz Funk with Dani Rivas, Improvisation with Tomekk Jaschinski, Contemporary and Modern with Simon Wolant, Hip Hop with Quanah Sanchez and Musical Theatre with Diego Funes from Peridance NYC.
Every artist brought something different. Some focused on technique and precision, others encouraged creativity, musicality and self-expression. Together, they created a programme that reflected the incredible diversity of dance itself.
Of course, not every memorable moment happened during the choreography.

Hope Maimane quickly filled the workshop area with laughter and positive energy, creating countless moments with dancers throughout the week. Even the Dance Unit goodie bags somehow found their way into the workshops and became part of the fun.
And then there was Diego Funes.
During one of his workshops, the class was officially over — at least on paper. But every dancer knows what happens when a teacher says, “One last time.”
It is almost never the last time.
The dancers kept dancing, Diego kept teaching and what was supposed to be the end of the workshop turned into another thirty minutes of pure energy, passion and joy. Nobody seemed to mind.

Moments like these are difficult to schedule, impossible to plan and often become the memories people talk about long after the event is over.
That is what made the GO-MASTERS workshops so special.
They were not just classes. They were moments of connection, inspiration and shared passion between dancers and artists who genuinely love what they do.
JBS Auditions & International Opportunities
A particularly special part of GO-MASTERS Edition 6 was the return of the Jofrey Ballet School.
After joining us last year, JBS once again chose Dance Unit as a place to meet and discover talented young dancers. Throughout Finals Week, Jordan Epstein led classes, shared his expertise and conducted official audition masterclasses on behalf of the school.
For many dancers, these auditions represented a unique opportunity. Not only because of the possibility of being accepted into a prestigious Summer Intensive programme, but because they were able to receive direct feedback and be seen by representatives of one of the most respected dance education institutions.
The presence of JBS continues to be an incredible opportunity for our dancers, and we are proud that Dance Unit can help create these international connections and possibilities.

Scholarships & Recognition
Throughout GO-MASTERS Edition 6, scholarships were awarded by both Jofrey Ballet School and Diego Funes from Peridance NYC.
What makes these opportunities particularly meaningful is that they are not awarded solely based on a single performance. While competitions showcase technique, preparation and execution, workshops often reveal something different: curiosity, dedication, work ethic, creativity, potential and a dancer’s willingness to grow.
Throughout the week, faculty members observed dancers both on and off the competition stage. They saw how participants approached new challenges, interacted with others and embraced unfamiliar styles and ideas.
In many ways, this reflects the philosophy behind the Dance Unit Gala itself. The Gala is not simply a collection of the highest-scoring performances. It is a celebration of pieces, dancers and choreographies that possess something unique — something artistic, inspiring and memorable.
The scholarships awarded during GO-MASTERS Edition 6 followed that same spirit: recognising not only achievement, but also potential.
Dance Beyond Competition
GO-MASTERS Edition 6 once again proved that Dance Unit is about far more than competition.
It is about creating opportunities, building connections, inspiring dancers and celebrating everything that makes dance such a powerful form of expression.
Thank you to every dancer, teacher, choreographer, volunteer and family member who helped make this year’s edition so special.
And this is only the beginning.
Stay tuned — because we may already have something exciting in the works for this autumn.
